Manufacturing facilities
The 16,000 m² Polyon plant employs about 90 workers and produces high quality films at an average rate of 350 kg per hour on six modern extrusion lines. Our laboratory controls and monitors manufacturing processes and product quality.

Certifications
Polyon products are manufactured under ISO 9001-2000, ISO 22000 and HACCP regulations and comply with most international construction codes. Polyon holds many laboratory reports and certificates, including GBRC, IL, UL, ASTM, M1, BS, DIN, SGS and PSB, plus BRC/IOP.

Research & Development
Polyon's R&D department constantly seeks to improve Polyon products. It also works with customers around the world to develop innovative solutions for specialized requirements and offers technical support.

Ownership and history
Polyon is owned by Kibbutz Barkai, located in central Israel. The factory was founded in 1972 by Kibbutz Barkai and incorporated in 1993. Polyon began by manufacturing polyethylene films for agriculture. After purchasing three layer coextrusion lines, it diversified into food packaging, film lamination and insulation for the construction industry. Since 1998, the agricultural film business has been operated as a joint venture between Polyon and Kibbutz Ginegar, while Polyon manufactures packaging films for food and grocery products and thermal reflective insulation films for the construction industry.

In 2006 a major Israeli holding company made a strategic investment in Polyon. This vote of confidence in Polyon's capabilities and product quality permits the company to invest in technologically advanced equipment, the provision of more flexible, quality-conscious solutions to its customers and expansion into new markets. 

In 2008 Polyon has installed the newest 9-layer co-extrusion line with the most advance technologies. This 9-layer film allows us to meet the growing market demands for the most complex and specialized multi layer films.
